1st Annual Mile High GreenMarket COMPLETED

Date(s): Saturday Apr 17, 2010 - Number of Volunteers: 12 Sunday Apr 18, 2010 - Number of Volunteers: 12 To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day, Mile High Marketplace will host the first annual GreenMarket Festival with most associated recycling costs to consumers waived. There will be educational exhibits related to sustainable living and many green exhibitors at the expo, including a both for WRV!. Live music by Rob Drabkin, Jaden Carlson and more will take place on the solar powered Edutainment Stage. Seedlings for planting will be available for kids (while quantities last). We are in need of outgoing volunteers wiling to help out at the WRV outreach booth, connecting with this new community. Additionally, volunteers will also take short shifts helping with the recycling at the event. Please register for both days or the day the works for you and then write in the comments box the times that work for you.

Microbreweries for the Environment COMPLETED

Date(s): Friday Apr 23, 2010 - Number of Volunteers: 10 Since 1993, the Microbreweries for the Environment benefit have raised nearly $100,000 for local environmental causes. This year WRV was thrilled to be the recipient of one of their grants of this carbon-neutral event. People were encouraged to walk, bike or bus to the event and over 20 Colorado microbreweries served their best beers. Thanks for a great night and thanks to our amazing volunteers that made it run smoothly.

Boulder Creek Festival SCHEDULED

Date(s): Saturday May 29, 2010 - Number of Volunteers: 6 Sunday May 30, 2010 - Number of Volunteers: 6 Monday May 31, 2010 - Number of Volunteers: 6 Join us at this fun relaxing Memorial Day weekend event in Boulder. It attracts over 20,000 people each year - a great opportunity for us to invite newcomers to volunteer with WRV. We're looking for outgoing volunteers to staff the booth we'll have set up on Saturday, Sunday & Monday, in pairs of 2 or more for 4 hour shifts all weekend long from 9:30am to 7pm each day. This is your chance to tell the world how much fun you've had volunteering with WRV and will help us expand our community. If you would like to participate as an outreach tabler for this event, please register and in the COMMENT field, tell us the times you'd like to be scheduled.
